Robert Forbes is a retired partner of the national law firm, Miller Thomson LLP. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Laws degree from London School of Economics, in London, England. He has considerable experience in corporate governance, financial institutions regulation and acquisitions and mergers. He also has experience as an external director on boards of various types of companies. He is a Distinguished Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, where he has lectured in a variety of Business Law, Contracts and Corporate Governance courses. Robert joined Heartland's Board of Directors on April 21, 2017 and lives in Toronto.
